Habitat:The Oogie are intrepid creatures, and can live anywhere warm. Oogie, are prone, however to coniferous and deciduous forest areas. They are very friendly, and due to minimal contact with human kind, have little fear of people nor manmade environments.
Domestication: The Oogie is not a
common pet due to it's scarcity outside of wooded areas, but it is certainly a
popular one. The Oogie are affectionate, intelligent and adaptable creatures. They have been known to be prone to obedience and good behavior, but this highly varies from one individual to the next.
Diet: The Oogie is strictly Carpophagous, or fruit eating. While all fruit is fair game for an Oogies appetite, it's favorites include the
Jaccapear and
Glinberry. Behavior: The Oogie can very greatly between impetuous and playful, or withdrawn and hostile. They spend a good deal of time foraging for fruit, but also store their findings in the hollows of trees or the nooks for roots, so that they might have some time to interact with fellows of their own species. They enjoy playing games like burying seeds for the others to find, or play-fighting on low hanging limbs. Males and Females of the species have been known to mate for life.
Coats and Colors: Oogies have bright, colorful, and highly varying coats in order to attract one another's attention. A gene mutation within their reproductive tract often causes Oogie kits to look
nothing like their respective parents, which greatly contributes the variance within the species.
Risks in the wild: The Oogies only indigenous predator is the
harper, a keen and dangerous hunter with beaks powerful enough to crush a human bone. The harper however, live in the deepest parts of forests that are otherwise uninhabitable, and rarely surface to hunt.
